The Hare and The Tortoise

By Sicebise Msengana

Once, a hare saw a tortoise walking slowly with a heavy shell on his back. The hare was very proud of himself and he asked the tortoise. “Shall we have a race?"
The tortoise agreed. They started the running race. The hare ran very fast. But the tortoise walked very slowly. The proud hair rested under a tree and soon slept off. But the tortoise walked very fast, slowly and steadily and reached the goal. At last, the tortoise won the race.

Moral : Pride goes before a fall. Our pride just like the hare's will come before a fall. Our pride will be the ultimate cause of our fall.

brag about how high and drunk they are You think this is a coincidence? Sorry, but it’s not. There is a reason why an artist
rapping about smoking and drinking will usually get a deal before a rapper who spits about being intelligent and hard-working. Much of this is because there are people who have a vested interest in seeing black men weak and easily built for incarceration or execution.
