The 1955 Freedom Charter Was Fraudulent

By Sicebise Msengana

Dr. Pheko argues that "Zephaniah Mothopeng a Pan Africanist leader who was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment for leading the Soweto Uprising described

this charter as “a notorious document of unknown origin.” It legitimised the land dispossession of the African people in South
Africa (Azania)." Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Freedom Charter is merely a civil rights movement, not a national liberation . The preamble says "... South Africa belongs to all who live in it, black and white.." If I were the president of the Republic of South Africa, I would tear this fraudulent document made by treacherous ANC leaders and fake nationalists apart. It none other than a takeaway position. South Africa doesn't belong to "all who live in it", South Africa belongs to Africans. Our leaders should be unapologetic about this uncomfortable truth. Africa belongs to Africans, not the offspring of colonial tourists.

Even Anthony Sampson, the author of BLACK GOLD Tycoons, Revolutionaries And Apartheid wrote, the “Freedom Charter
was depicted by the South African Government as Marxist though it is hardly more radical than the Labour Party Manifesto in Britain.”

The great Pan-Africanist, Marcus Garvey wrote: "...Say! Africa for the Africans,
Like America for the Americans:
This the rallying cry for a nation,
Be it in peace or revolution..." He later adds "...the cause of Africa for the Africans -- that is, that the Negro peoples of the world should concentrate upon the object of building up for themselves a great
nation in Africa..."

Malibuye ilizwe lethu MaAfrika! Return our land!
