These past several months I have been digging and researching on POLYGAMY. To assist men and women who are into polygamy.
- Polygamy needs land. In the olden days, men with multiple wives had homesteads or compounds that could accommodate their wives and children. In other words, a communal village. 1-3 wives can live in a single household provided that it will be with 6 children. Anything above that needs a homestead where each wife will get a house to share with her children and maintain a little autonomy.
- I disagree with the notion that polygamy needs a rich man. Polygamy needs a self made man. A man who is a good custodian, provider, protector and steward. A middle/working class man can marry middle/working class women such as a doctor, nurse, cashier, bank teller, municipal worker, janitor etc. Then combine his salary or income with his wives' incomes to fund their medical aid, children's education, savings, real estate, investments and day to day expenses. There are married men who are supporting their out of wedlock children. Isn't that polygamy with baby mamas?
Saying men should be rich in order to be polygamists is a slay queen or gold digging culture. Being rich is a massive bonus.
- Polygamy needs couples who understand what it really means to be in a polygamous marriage. Polygamy is everything that monogamy is, but multiplied in most instances. Polygamy is not about sex nor money; it is about family, bloodlines and generational wealth.
