I watched this movie, but it was too boring and predictable. The central theme -- Tarzan (and Jane) and the Apes.
Yet, another classic example of the white saviour complex. The continent of Africa is full of jungles, savannahs, rivers, herds of wild animals and "uncivilised" tribes. At some point in the movie, Tarzan singlehandled defeats a group of well-armed men.
Again, it takes the intervention of a white protagonist with godlike traits and physical strength, to save the natives and help put an end to the slave trade in the Congo basin. After all, without the benevolence of a white man, Africans have no hope of SURVIVAL.
